The March for Music Education is proud to welcome Professor Mark Berney of the University of Rhode Island for a workshops with students at the Alpha Institute and the March for Music Education Jam Session at The Haven February 14th. The Jam Session is open to the public and a fundraiser for music education in Kingston.

Professor Mark Berney is Lecturer of Music at the University of Rhode Island and trumpeter for King’s Highway. In addition to over 30 recordings he has toured internationally with Itzhak Perlman and the Klezmer Conservatory Band. A devoted music educator, Berney serves as a clinician and adjudicator throughout the world and teaches music to students of all ages.
