The Music Director at the Alpha Institute School of Music, Andre Adman, speaks about the broad benefits of a music education. Founded in Kingston, Jamaica in 1880, Alpha has been at the forefront of music education in Jamaica since 1892 when its music program started with a drum and fife corps. 126 years later, Alpha’s graduates have been jazz innovators, ska pioneers, reggae icons and Grammy nominees.
